The MURO-CCR Rebreather

The MURO-CCR Rebreather evolved from the CE-certified JJ-CCR. From a piloting perspective it is still very much a JJ-CCR, from a technical and mission critical perspective it is a Low magnetic, Low acoustic, Rugged and Reliable defence breathing system for diving in the depth range of 0-100m. The MURO-CCR requires a minimum of pre-dive preparations and maintenance in field. It has an extremely robust core construction and a minimalistic approach to details making it easy to handle before, during and after the mission. All the components of the MURO-CCR are there for a reason! Each detail has a purpose and every solution can be justified. The versatility of the design makes the MURO-CCR adaptable for a large number of mission profiles. The main assembly consists of an carbon fibre housing and a titanium stand where all the components such as Counter lungs, BCD, and Carrying harness are attached. All hoses and gas paths are made for optimal performance both in water and for maintenance purposes.

BACKBONE/CANISTER

The canister on the MURO-CCR is made from Carbon Fibre and has 4 consoles for the attachment of tanks and/or mission specific accessories. The left and right side of the Canister holds tubes for trim weights. The lift handle that is located on top of these tubes can be lowered to decrease the length of the rebreather.

The stand which is bolted in the bottom of the canister is made from titanium and gives stability and comfort to the user while handling the rebreather on deck.

SCRUBBER

The standard scrubber unit on the MURO-CCR is an axial scrubber. It holds 2,3 kg sodalime (sofnolime 797). The scrubber unit is easy to lift out of the canister as the attached lid has a lifting handle on top. The scrubber is attached to the lid by a heavy duty thread.

The construction of the scrubber, lid and canister makes re-packing of scrubber as well as surface interval maintenance an easy task!

BREATHING LOOP

The MURO-CCR has an industry low work of breathing. With its back mounted counter lungs that follow the contours of the divers shoulders, it will help the diver to keep a smooth and comfortable breathing pattern. T-pieces milled out of Delrin connect to heavy duty breathing hoses that end in a sturdy DSV (Dive Surface Valve). The breathing loop has an integrated ADV (Automatic Diluent Valve).

ELECTRONICS

The MURO-CCR is equipped with a state of the art electronics package. It has a redundant power supply with two (2) separate external battery units. It has a DiveCAN® communication interface for robust data transmission and easy upgrades, disassembly and repairs. The MURO-CCR has wet contacts for automatic turn-on.

CONTROLLER

The MURO-CCR is equipped with a reliable controller with an integrated multi-gas decompression computer. It has an independent HUD (Head Up Display) with real-time display of PO2 for all three oxygen sensors.

PLATE & HARNESS

The MURO-CCR is equipped with a fully adjustable harness. The harness is padded in the shoulder and chest area which provides the user with proper comfort. The harness is designed with numerous titanium D-rings so that the unit can configure equipment according to mission. An optional harness will be released during 2023.

VERSATILITY

The carbon fibre canister is equipped with 4 sturdy consoles, designed and placed for Multi-Role capability.

Every Detail has a Purpose and Every Solution can be Justified. All components of the MURO-CCR have undergone heavy duty testing within the military end-user environment and the complete construction is purpose built for the defence environment.
